A lost cat becomes a bank ’employee’ and is upset when found by its owner: “You ruined my sweet deal!”

You know, when a cat disappears, its owner gets super worried and tries everything to find it.

This one lady had this happen to her. She had a British Shorthair that bolted out the door one day. By the time she realized what happened, it was already gone…

Then began her days of searching for her cat, always worrying if it was out there hungry or getting picked on… She got more and more upset thinking about it.

But after 48 days of relentless searching, she finally found her British Shorthair at a local bank. To her surprise, the cat hid as soon as it saw her…

Seriously, she searched for 48 days, worried sick, and the cat didn’t even want to come home!

What was up with that? Had it gone wild?

Turns out, the bank staff spilled the beans: the cat was having too good a time to even think about leaving!

The British Shorthair had shown up at the bank on the very first day, shy at first, huddling on an outside window ledge.

But the bank staff were kind-hearted and fed it every day with cat food, freeze-dried treats, you name it.

They even got a cat teaser stick to play with it, so it was living the high life.

Eventually, the bank’s management all agreed to officially take it in, make it a ‘staff cat.’ They got it a cat bed, litter, toys, the works…

If the lady had been a bit later, the British Shorthair would’ve been an official employee!

After thanking the bank staff, she took her cat back home, but it looked pretty miffed, almost as if saying:

“Darn! You just wrecked my great setup, I was about to get official!”
